KULTURLABOR STROMBOLI

The Kulturlabor Stromboliisacultural institution in the town of Hall, surrounded by the beautiful mountainous countryside of Tyrol. It was established in 1989 with the aim of creating a venue for a lively cultural revival in the area.  Today the Kulturlabor Stromboli, situated near to the metropolitan city Innsbruck, is one of the most diverse culture and communications hubs in this area and is well known throughout Austria.  It holds over 100 events over the year.

At a regional level the Kulturlabor Stromboli works as a very successful platform for artistic exchanges and features an ever growing cultural network for artists in the local scene.  As well as concerts and theatre you can find literature readings, cabaret, open air events, discussion groups, presentations, parties and a strong children´s program running on a very regular basis.  There is also a thriving youth scene with a well-known and established bar and coffee house which has grown in reputation over the years.

Experimentation and the trying out of new ideas is the motto of the organisation.  This culture enablesendless possibilities and new cultural adventures to be ventured into and enjoyed.  It is a real bubbling cultural volcano situated in the middle of the Alps!!

Information about Hall

Hall is a small town with around 13,500 inhabitants and it lays in the middle of the Inn valley around 10km East of the main city in Tyrol, Innsbruck.  Its location means it is a favourite destination for visitors coming from all around the world, both in summer and winter alike.

The old beautiful tasteful architecture inthe old town of Hall give you a glimpse of the importance of Hall throughout the history of Austria.  Going right back to the middle ages, Hall was one of the most important economic centres in North Tyrol through the trade in Salt.  Today Hall is a thriving small town with a vibrant and diverse range of individual shops, cafes and bars. Since 2002 Hall has also been a university town -Umit is a private university for health sciences, medicine and IT.

Hall offers a wide range of free time activities from sports and nature as well as cultural highlights which is where the Kulturlabor Stromboli plays a large role.  For an even broader range of activities Innsbruck is very quickly and easily accessible with public transport in 10 –20 mins.

Now the Kulturlabor Stromboli is looking, for the first time, to strengthen its team with a volunteer from another EU country.

Time period: From the 10thof September 2016 to the 10thof July 2017, 10 months.

MENTÖRÜ MERVE İÇİN HAZİNE KUTUSUNU SEÇTİ

GENÇTUR AGH GÖNÜLLÜSÜ MERVE TAĞ'IN OCAK AYI RAPORU

5 Şubat 2016 – Halle Saale

Avrupa Gönüllü Hizmetimin bugün itibariyle üçte birini bitirmiş bulunuyorum. Bu dört aylık süreci giriş diye adlandırmak istiyorum. Çünkü artık Halle’de olup biten çoğu şeyi, işyerimde ne yapıp ne yapmam gerekmediğini, bir sorunum olduğunda nasıl çözebileceğimi vs. biliyorum. Bunun yanı sıra kendimi ev arkadaşlarımla ve çalışma arkadaşlarımla birlikte güvende hissediyorum. Her şey olması gerektiği gibi ilerliyor.

Bu ayın ortasında koordinatörüm Marie Luise, iş yerimden mentorum Sarah ve şefim Maik ile ‘Evaluation’ görüşmemi yaptım. Marie bana, Sarah ve Maik’e genel olarak birbirimizden memnun olup olmadığımızı sordu. İş yeriyle ilgili hiçbir sorunumun olmadığını, çalışma saatlerinin benim için bir sorun teşkil etmediğini ve her gün işe mutlulukla geldiğimi anlattım. Maik ve Sarah ise benim gibi bir gönüllüye denk gelmiş oldukları için çok şanslı olduklarını, kurumda çalışan ve yaşayan herkes tarafından sevildiğimi söylediler. Daha sonra Maik ve Sarah Friedenskreis’ın düzenlemiş olduğu bir toplantıya katıldı. Ev arkadaşlarımın mentorları ve Marie ile görüşme yapmışlar. Daha sonra Sarah’nın bana anlattığına göre Marie tüm mentorların ve şeflerin önüne birkaç nesne sunmuş ve bunların arasından gönüllüleriyle bağdaştırdıkları bir nesneyi seçmelerini istemiş. Maik ‘hazine kutusu’nu seçmiş. Bunu duymak ve sevildiğimi bilmek beni gerçekten mutlu ediyor.

Bunun dışında bu ay Almanya içinde Nürnberg’e, Avrupa’da ise Belçika’nın iki etkileyici şehri Brüksel ve Brugge’e seyahat ettim. Bu ayın sonunda ise ailemi görmek için İstanbul’a dört günlük bir tatil planı yaptım. AGH’nin gelişme bölümünde giriş bölümünden ziyade daha çok seyahat etme planım var.

ESRA FRANSA'DA 4. AYINI DOLDURDU

Fransa'da 4. ay bitti.

Ocak ayi, muhtemelen Fransa'da gecirdigim en yogun ay oldu! Aralik ayinda calismalarina basladigim Toplumsal Cinsiyet Kimliklerimiz konulu projeyi Ocak ayi sonunda Ulusal Ajans'a gonderebilmek icin gece gunduz calistim! Esasinda bir ekip isiydi ve projeyi son basvuru tarihinden once yetistirebildik. Bu surec bana  AB projeleri yazma konusunda cok onemli deneyimler kazandirdi.

Bu ay, 6 Ocak tarihinde kutlanan Epifani Yortusu'na sahit oldum. Epifani yortusu, Noel'i takip ediyor ve Isa'nin vaftiz edilis tarihi olarak bilinen 6 Ocak'ta kutlaniyor. Fransa'da bu yortu “Krallarin Gunu” olarak da biliniyor ve ozel bir Fransiz keki olan “Galette” ile kutlaniyor. Galette'in icinde kucuk bir heykelcik konuluyor ve kendi payinda bu heykelcigi bulan sansli kisi altin renkli taci takip kral ya da kralice oluyor ve bir sonraki keki yapmakla yukumlu oluyor. Elbette bir cok gelenek gibi Epifani de toplumda dini bir bayram olmaktan cok, ailelerin, dostlarin bir araya gelerek bol bol bademli kek yedikleri ve  kucuk heykelciklerin dis kirma noktasina geldigi bir gelenek olarak goruluyor ve kutlaniyor. 6 Ocak sabahi hep birlikte bu bademli keki yedik ve aslinda heykelcigi bulan ben olmamama ragmen herkes taci benim giymemi istedi! Soz konusu kagittan bir tac ancak, herkesin bana bu gelenegi olabildigince eglenceli tanitmaya calismasi cok samimiydi!

Gelenege gore, birisi keki keserken orada bulunan en genc kisi masanın altina gecip hangi parcayi kimin alacagina rastgele karar veriyor. Neyseki icimizde en genc olan masanin altina sigacak boyuttaydi! :)

 Ofiste bu ay yogun calisan bir tek ben degildim. Yazilmakta olan baska projeler de vardi ve gelecek donem icin AGH basvurularinin son ayiydi da. Concordia'nin, gelecek Ekim'den itibaren, Turkiye'den gelen baska bir gonulusu olacak! Tum bu surec bana, benim basvuru yaptigim sureci, sancilarini ve heyecanlarini hatirlatti.

AGH'ler icin basvuru ayi oldugundan, biz de cesitli AGH atolyeleri duzenledik. Her atolyede Concordia benim motivasyon mektubumu adaylara ornek olarak gosteriyor. Bir kac atolyede online gosterdik ancak bir sureden sonra Concordia motivasyon mektubumun ciktisini alip atolye dosyasina ilistirdi. Artik demirbasa terfi eden motivasyon mektubum, ofiste espiri konusu haline geldi :)

Birlikte duzenledigimiz kulturel aksamlar, AGH bilgilendirme atolyeleri, yaraticilik atolyeleri, geri donusum projeleri ve daha bir cok fikir ile Concordia'da zaman akip gidiyor. Ben ise her gecen gunu doya doya yasamaya calismanin yaninda, geriye kalan sayili gunlerimi de dusunmeden edemiyorum.

Bir sonraki ay raporumda yine guzel anilar olacak ama baska koca bir ay daha bitmis olacak...

SERKAN POLONYA'DA ENGELLİLERLE ÇALIŞIYOR

Polonya'dan Merhabalar ;

21 Ocak 2016 tarihi itibariyle Milicz Wroclaw , Polonya'daki Avrupa Gönüllülük Hizmet faaliyetlerine başlamış bulunmaktayım. Daha önce de Milicz'de bulunduğum için bölge çok tanıdık. Yarı özel bir rehabilitasyon merkezinde engelli çocuklara eğitim veriyorum. Aynı zamanda görevlilere yardımda bulunmaktayım. Günde 5 saate yakın çalışmaktayım. Buradaki koordinatör kurumla farklı aktivitelerde bulunuyoruz. Buradaki kurum faaliyetlerini çok başarılı buluyorum. Gönüllülere yönelik farklı aktiviteleri mevcut. Türkiye'deki kurum ve kuruluşlardan gönüllüler için bu gibi fırsatlar sunulduğunu açıkcası görmedim şuana kadar. Burada bulunan Türk arkadaşlarla birlikte zaman zaman Türkiye'yi tanıtıcı faaliyetlerde bulunuyoruz. Her hangi bir sıkıntı bulunmamaktadır.

Tuğba Berlin'in kışını anlatıyor

2.2.2016  Tuğba Akın Ocak Ayı Raporu

Aralık ayındaki yoğun telaştan sonra Ocak ayı son derece sakin geçti diyebilirim. Öncelikli olarak Koordinatör ofisimizde  4 ay boyunca neler yaptığımızı, sorunlarımızı ve önerilerimizi paylaştık.  Geçmiş yıllarda proje üretmiş gönüllü arkadaşlarımızın projelerini inceleyerek fikir sahibi olduk. Kendi üretmek istediğimiz projelerimizi anlatarak bunlar üzerinde hep beraber kafa yorup geliştirmeye çalıştık. Şimdiden söylemek belki erken ama sanırım birçoğumuz buradan güzel ve keyifli projelerimizi bitirerek ayrılacağız.

Gönüllü olduğum okulda ise, iki haftalık Christmas tatilden sonra artık tamamen oturmuş düzenimde devam etti diyebilirim. Buna ek olarak okuldaki bazı çocukların örgü örme isteği ve benimde biraz olsun biliyor olmam sonucu her pazartesi günü iki saat beraber atkı örüyoruz. Bunun dışında sınıfça iki saatimizi ayırarak film salonunda film izledik, oyunlar oynadık. Okuldaki tüm öğretmenlerle birlikte düzenlediğimiz kahvaltı buluşmasında ise masada gördüğüm hemen her şey bizim mutfağımızdandı. Almanların Türk mutfağına hayran olduklarını söyleyebilirim.

Berlin’de ise genel olarak soğuk ve kar yağışının yoğun olduğu bir hava vardı. Uzun bir süre kar yerden kalkmadı diyebilirim. Sanırım buraya geldiğimden beri geçirdiğim en soğuk günlerdi. Ankara’da okuduğum için soğuğa alışkınım fakat maalesef yaklaşık on gün kadar hastaydım bu süreçte projeme de gidemedim. Ev arkadaşlarımın da benim gibi hasta olmaları yüzünden hepimiz evde olunca en iyi fikir olarak hepimizin ülkelerine ait (Danimarka, İspanya ve Avusturya ) yapımı filmler izledik.

Bu ay içerisinde birkaç müze gezme fırsatım da oldu. Berlin National History Museum, tüm Alman tarihini görebildiğim oldukça büyük ve donanımlı bir müzeydi. Üniversite hayatım boyunca eserlerini okuduğum ve üzerine derslerde konuştuğumuz Kant gibi dünyaca ünlü felsefecilerin orijinal eserlerini görme şansım oldu. İkincisi  ise, Museum für Kommunikation Berlin, özellikle Alman İletişim Tarihini görebildim. Son olarak, Museum für Naturkunde . Aklınıza gelebilecek tüm hayvanların ve canlıların anatomisinin sergilendiği ve şu ana kadar gördüğüm en iyi müzelerden biriydi diyebilirim.

Havaların ay sonuna doğru biraz ısınmasıyla beraber Danimarka, İngiltere ve Fransa gibi ülkelerden gelmiş ve gönüllü olarak burada bulunan arkadaşlarımla beraber Botanischer Garten’a gittik. Çok büyük bir alana yayılmış içerisinde küçük bir göl, dünyanın bir çok yerinde yetişen bitkilerin bulunduğu seralar ve bir müze bulunmakta. Çok keyifliydi diyebilirim.

Kısacası Ocak ayı sakin ve sanırım arkadaşlarımla beraber şu ana kadar burda olduğum en güzel anıları yaşadığım bir aydı.

Short description of the project

The project will take place at "La Città dell’Utopia," a project of SCI-Italy in Rome, which can be defined as a social and cultural laboratory working for a new model of  local and global development: balanced, sustainable and fair.

The project originates from a reflection on the social consequences of the current economic crisis, affecting  - to various extent - all the European countries, Italy included. The crisis is seen as generating high rates of youth unemployment and increasingly common phenomena situations of social exclusion and even deviance. The project, acknowledging volunteering as a tool to generate human and social capital and a key factor for improving social cohesion, will actively involve the four EVS volunteers in the SCI-Italy’s activities (volunteering projects, raising awareness events) for the social inclusion of youth with fewer opportunities.

The project is meant as a learning process for the EVS volunteers – which will be acknowledged in the Youthpass certificate – and the methods of non-formal education will be applied to ensure the process.

SCI-Italy

The Service Civil International aims at developing solidarity and promoting tolerance between people, encouraging and supporting participation of youngsters in voluntary activities, both inside and outside the European Union.

For this reason, SCI organizes activities and campaigns for the promotion of peace, international solidarity and mutual understanding; besides workcamps and long term voluntary projects. Activities organized by SCI, both at the international and local level, are coordinated by the National Secretary of SCI, which headquarter is located in Roma (via Cruto 43, Municipality Roma XV).  The area is well linked to the city center and to other areas through public transportation (metro and buses).

The National Secretary represents the reference point for SCI activities, but also for activists and volunteers who promote philosophy and projects of the Association.

Volunteers will develop their program mainly in the headquarter of SCI Italy, with the supervision and follow up of SCI Staff.

The SCI-Italy “Utopia City” project started in 2001 and is located in San Paolo district (via Valeriano 3F – Roma) in the southern part of Rome. It’s a popular suburban area inhabited by a large number of elderly people, where also the number of families coming from Latin America, northeast Europe, Asia and Africa, is raising. During the last years the number of cultural local organizations whom SCI-Italy volunteers and activists cooperate with  is increasing.

The main activities carried out in La Città dell’Utopia are the following:

- organization and hosting of international workcamps, north/south exchanges and international youth meetings;

-events to raise awareness on other cultures and countries,

- organizing conferences, meetings, festival, exhibitions, video, theatre, thematic meals; courses (free or popular cost) of music, group dancing, tai chi, African percussion, belly dance, languages, ceramics, gardening, alphabetisation of informatics, theatre; workshops on sustainable life styles, such as recycling, composting, reduction in consumptions and renewable sources of energy, garbage recycling; promotion of participative forms of active citizenship. Objectives of the proposed EVS project:

- to involve European volunteers in the promotion of international voluntarism as a practice of active citizenship, intercultural education and personal and social growth;

- to spread news about the initiatives organized in Italy in order to promote the exchange and the intercultural respect, and to arouse interest in youngsters in actions which stimulate international solidarity;

- to give to volunteers the chance of actively participate in the implementation and development of a specific project, which constitutes an opportunity of individual growth;

- to strengthen, throughout team work and confrontation, the mutual comprehension between youngsters of different Countries.

Volunteers will be involved in the following activities:

Two volunteers will be involved in the following activities, mainly at “La Città dell’Utopia”:

a) supporting the coordination of the work of local and international volunteers (groups and individuals) in order to ensure the running of the planned schedule; 

b) helping in the elaboration and the organization of public cultural events and workshops on active citizenship, especially regarding the communication, logistic and operational levels;

c) implementing the international dimension through the coordination of international exchanges, work camps, seminars;

d) informing  youngsters about the opportunities offered by the YOUTH IN ACTION program and other international exchanges;

In the proper dynamic of the project it is important that the voluntary manages to find the possibility to develop a personal activity following the lines of the project and of the organization. In order to enable the volunteers to implement their personal projects, a permanent support will be proposed in order the realize his ideas and project within the “the Utopia City”.

The volunteers should have a good attitude and will to work in touch with people.

 

Who are we looking for:

Reliable, communicative and very motivated volunteers. It's very important that each volunteer is used to working in a team, that he/she is sociable, has a sense of humour, is flexible in different situations (e.g.: to propose/invent some additional activities in a time when there won't be any other specific activities on the agenda and prepared to give an extra hand in a period full of current activities.).

- to strengthen, throughout team work and confrontation, the mutual comprehension between youngsters of different Countries.

 Volunteers will be involved in the following activities:

The two volunteers will be involved in the following activities, mainly at SCI-office:
a) activating and managing international volunteers who want to join short term projects in Italy along with the SCI staff;

b) to support the area “social inclusion” (different projects and youth exchanges)

c) to promote international volunteering through information;

d) to support the trainings of youngsters organized by SCI Italy;

e) to support the placement in the workcamps season;

f) to organize awareness-raising events on the theme of international voluntarism as a way of education to tolerance and inter-culture.

Who are we looking for:

Reliable, communicative and very motivated volunteers. It's very important that each volunteer is used to working in a team, that he/she is sociable, has a sense of humour, is flexible in different situations (e.g.: to propose/ invent some additional activities in a time when there won't be any other specific activities on the agenda and be prepared to give an extra hand in a period full of current activities.).
