and there is an information document about our project and sub-projects. There is also application form (word document) where are some questions that we like you to answer shortly. We look forward to receive your application as a volunteer.

Sólheimar are looking for people that would like to stay for 12 months, 2. Jan 2012 – 30.Dec 2012 and offer seven voluntary sub-projects which are:

1. Sesseljuhús – environmental sustainability
2. Nærandi – Food production and Bakery
3. Service learning (grocery store and coffee shop)
4. Art workshop. (weaving, textiles, painting, ceramics, organic soap-making, candle-making, woodwork)
5. Maintenance and Carpentry
6. Tree nursery - Forestry
7. Organic Horticulture

Application deadline is August 1st. 2011 and we will apply before the September 1st EVS application deadline. The project starts therefore in January 2nd 2012.

We are rather flexible regarding the timing of the sessions if people like to come earlier or little later, but we are looking for long term volunteers. Volunteers will take part in more than one project.

It’s important to be familiar with youth in action programme and EVS.
