InCo is very glad to announce a new selection process for EVS volunteers. Please find all information about this selection process in the announcement in our website.

I count with your support to disseminate the opportunity! In case you have interested volunteers, please do a pre-selection and send me no more then 2 candidates, ok? It's important that the volunteers is willing to have interpersonal contact, please notice that both project has some particular conditions (it's important to take it into consideration to match properly the expectation and opportunities). Previous knowledge of Italian is not mandatory, although it could support the integration. No special skills are required but initiative, willingness to get in touch with people and some creativeness would be quite useful!

The activities are in Trento and Bolzano. Both cities are small (100.000 inhabitants) but are the capital of the region (Trentino and South-Tyrol). Both are the cities with the higher life quality in Italy (but it's North Italy! we are in the middle of the mountains and not in Rome or Sicily ;-)

Time is short (as always), so please let me know about your candidates until maximum the 7th August. I'll need a CV and motivation letter (the most important thing!) in which the volunteer explains:
- why s/he would like to do a EVS
- why this project
- which are the difficulties s/he think s/he will face
- what s/he expect to learn
- how s/he think s/he could contribute with the project/HO

Uzun zamandir -teknik olarak bir hafta tabi- aklimda idi yazmak, ama pek esmiyordu, simdi esti. Laguepie`ye vardiktan bir hafta sonra yaklasik 40-50 km uzaktaki bir kasabadaki (Monteil) calisma kampina liderlik etmemi istediler. Ben de `e peki madem` dedim, su an ordan yazmaktayim. Iki kisiyiz liderlik isinde, Bastiaan diye bir arkadas benim disimdaki, Hollandali olup 6 yasindan beri Fransa`da yasayan biri. Kampi organize etmek ve insanlarin zaman zaman cise gitmek icin dahi izin istedikleri kisi olmak garip bir his, bu arada cise gitmeye izin istemeyi gerektirecek bir atmosfer yok hic, izni isteyen arkadasin garipligi. Genis genis, rahat rahat geciyor her sey. Bir yanda da bir aksaklik yoksimdiye kadar, yani kafamdaki kusursuz calisma kampi imajinin hic de uzaginda sayilmayiz. Kamptaki Turkiye`den gelen gonullunun benim de Turkiye`den oldugumu ogrendigindeki saskinligini izlemek pek eglenceliydi bu arada. Bu kampin ilk haftasini bitirince 1 haftalik bir seminere gidecegim, bolgedeki EVScilerin katildigi. Seminer bitince muhtemelen yine kampa donucem. Kamp bittikten yaklasik 1-2 gun sonra Midi-Pyreneeslerdeki bir kampin liderligi icin tekrar gidicem. 3 hafta da orda gecicek. Deli gibi heyecanliyim o kamp icin, daglarin arasindaki kulubelerin onarimiyla ilgili olucak, benim icin bi hayli yuksek bi tatmin daglarin arasinda haftalar gecirmek. Boylece Eylul gelmis olucak, Eylulde de kendi proje bolgemde bir kampa katilimci olarak dahil olucam, ozellikle istedim bunu cunku gectigimiz iki sene yaptigim muzik kampindan iki arkadasim gelicek bu kampa. Tekrar bir araya gelmek bir hayli eglenceli olucak saniyorum.

Ne yapip ne ettigimden pek bahsetmedim galiba, yani asil projenin ne oldugundan. Yalniz tatli olarak helva denedim, hic olmadi o. Oyle boyle batirmadim, zaten hic sunmadim bile insanlara. Evde Fransa, Tayvan, Estonya, Rusya, Japonya olmak uzere 5 ulkeden 5 insanla kaliyorum. Ev kocaman bir ev, iki katli, bahceli, bodrumlu filan. Yatak odalari ust katta. Mutfaktan bahceye geciliyor merdiven ile, yemek yaparken sigara molasi vermenin motivasyonu hemen karsidaki nehirin sesini dinlemek ve daglari izlemek gibi seylere bagli olunca sigara iciliyor. Bayagi iciliyor. Zerre kadar stres sahibi olmamakla beraber cilginca tutun tuketiyorum. Burasi ilk defa geldigim bir yer degil bu arada, ucuncu gelisim, ilk ikisi youth exchange idi, bu da kalicilik adina EVS oldu. garip bir aidiyet duygusu sariyor beni burda, niye bilmiyorum. “ARCHELON, The Sea Turtle Protection Society of Greece (IE: 2009-GR-1 )is now looking for EVS volunteers for the Sea Turtle Rescue Center (3rd Marina of Glyfada-Athens). This is for the deadline of 1st of September and activities will take place from February to July 2012 (6 months duration). We are looking for motivated people who will help us continuing our work in sea turtle protection. Green Sun Association is working as a hosting and coordinating organisation in the EVS field for the 1st September 2011 deadline.
We have following projects available and are issuing a call for interested volunteers.

The project is:
1. Asociatia "Zöld Nap" (ZNE) - Green Sun Association (2011-RO-7)

Details: -
Helping in project writings and management
- Development and promotion of Nemere Trail (the second greenway for bycicles in Covasna county)
- Helping in organizing 2% campaign
- Helping in organizing a photo exhibition (in Winter)
- Visiting our partner organizations and promoting volunteering within EVS program
- Participating on different voluntary activities (collecting used cooking oil, activities for young people and children, lectures in schools and daycares, projections of documentaries in various places...)
- Helping in organizing sport events that draw the attention to a healthier life style, like: the Critical Mass, the Family Running Day, the 24 hours’ Running, bicycle beauty contest, chess championship and several bicycle tours.

2. We are looking for volunteers for at least 10 to 12 months starting in November 2011.

Preferred profile:

Duration of the project: 7 months (November 2011 - May 2012)

Volunteer must be over 18 and motivated to work for local community. Volunteer should be open minded and have good communication skills to facilitate the contact with the local youth, experience in working with young people would be an advantage. Volunteers should be flexible, creative, have good patience to listen, interpret and respond.

Project will take place in Pultusk and it's surrondings.Pultusk is a town in Poland by the river Narew, 70 km north of Warsaw. It is located in the Mazovian Voievodship and has about 19 000 inhabitants. The town has existed since at least the 10th century. Pultusk County is a unit of territorial administration and local government in Mazovian Voievodship, east-central Poland. The County is subdivided into seven gminas: Gzy, Obryte, Pokrzywnica, Pultusk, Swiercze, Winnica, Zatory. The County has about 51 000 inhabitants. Pultusk County is at the moment the area with very low civic movement, there are not many associations and organizations involving citizens in everyday life of their town and country sides.


Short description:
Project supose to be the starting point for development of local voluntary projects. Through this project we would like to rise awarness about civic movement and benefits of such development. Aim of this project is to encourage local community to take responsability and actions into their own hands and to show the positive aspects of changes that can be brought by intercultural exchanges.
Project is also created to create opportunities for young volunteers, such as:
- participation in new and interesting project;
- gaining useful knowledge and experience through cooperation with experienced worker;
- contact with peers and possibility to get to know life of Polish youth

Description:
- Promotion of European Voluntary Service (EVS) on the teritory of Pultusk County;
- Promotion of Voluntary Service on the teritory of Pultusk County, creating the Youth Voluntary Program for local community;
- Creating the active volunteers environment to support actions of the Associastion
- Trainings for animators and leaders

The role of volunteer:
- supporting staff in all actions concerning promotion of voluntary service
-organising and conducting meetings about European Voluntary Service (EVS) for youth;
-organising and conducting meetings about European Voluntary Service (EVS) in the centers of Pultusk County, which could be potentially host organizations.
-helping to organise and take part in “Voluntary Fair” in Pultusk, directed towar local community;
-active participation in Voluntary Days in Pultusk County;
-organising and conducting educational meetings for youth, in the field of ecology, globalization, European awareness and social inclusion;
-carrying out activities related to current events like: Europan Voluntary Year, celebrations of International Voluntary Day, etc.;

İSVİÇRE 2011 - 01

Thanks for your interest in the EVS program of ICYE Switzerland! We have not applied for the June deadline, which means for the moment this placement is unfortunately not available.

But we will most probably be applying with this project for the September deadline, with the activity starting in January / February 2012. Main activities and duties of the volunteer
a) working out and in case of supported project also imlementation of own Youth in action project (project preparation, management, coordination, brainstroming, team cooperation)
b) working out and frequent actualisation of the own volunteer blog on the web site of the organisation
c) help related to the „ Save the turkish castle, Sobôtka” ( cooperation,meetings, organisation fielworks with and for local volunteers,preparation of a propagation leaflet related to the project – data collection about the history of the castle, location and activities )
d) help related to current national and international projects ( data search , preparation of propagation materials, web site actualization,correspondence, organisational help – conferences, workshops, meeting..etc)
e) help related to the renewal of the organisation basement

Practical arrangment
Working hours:
- Hosting organisation can employ volunteers during the weekends and bank holidays only on the bases of pre agreement with them
- Activities on bank holidays or weekends will be compensate with days off during the week

Days off per week, holidays:
- Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays are the days off for the volunteer
- The volunteer has 2 days of holiday per month
- If they require holiday they have to give one week notice about it to the hosting organization

Food:
- the hosting organisation will provide to each volunteer the amount of 150,- EUR in cash per month for nourishment
- the first sum will be given at the beginning of the EVS – 1.1.2012, and the last (12.) at the beginning of the 12.month – 31.12.2012.

Accomodation:
The accomodation will be assured by the Fundament – non-governmental organisation in a small hous near to the town centre – 2 hosting rooms ( 17 m per person) , full equipped kitchen ( gas cooker, microwave , fridge ) bathroom with shower and social equipments.

Local transport:
Travel costs related to trainings within the EDS and work with the hosting organisation will be assured by the hosting organisation.

Volunteer
Duties of the volunteer is to do his/her work according to rules of the non-governement organisation Fundament . Help as a volunteer 6 h on daily bases (30 h per week , language courses included).

Rights of the volunteer
- work preparation before starting EVS
- assured accomodation during EVS
- 2 days off in a week and plus 2 days holiday per month
- mentor assistance
- possibility to learn Slovakian during EVS
- possibility to meet other volunteers in Rimavska Sobota and surroundings

The volunteer witll support the team of the Youth Centre ClickIn. The volunteer should like working and speaking with young people about their problems, wishes and ideas. He/ she should be able to give help to organize activities. In ideal case the volunteer plans an own project and can bring in own ideas. So, if he/she ís interested in sports he/she could organize sport activities like a soccer cup or a skate event, a basketball workshop or a dance training. Then he/she would have to find a own room for offering this activity, he should plan this session and he/she also should make the public relation for this event. Is he/she interested in music, he/she can plan a clubbing, a disco-night or a dance session, where he also could present music and dances from his home country. So, he learns better to know the Austrian way of life and young peoples interests. But also Austrian young people expire music and dances from his home country, he could speak with this young people about his favourits free time activities, the way of life in his country and problems young people in his country have. General cross-cultural and the exchange between the countries should be in foreground, young Austrian people should get an idea about living in the EVS country and the volunteer gets to know a lot about Austrian mentality. The opening time of the youth center is principal in the afternoon, Wednesday until Saturday, between 14:00 and 20:00.
Gratwein has 3500 habitants and is situated 10km in the north of Graz ( 270.000 inhabitants), the second largest town of Austria. The public transport by bus or train to Graz is comfortable, in Gratwein there´s also a small sport-center with swimming, beach volleyball, soccer, skating and icehockey in winter.

Tasks
The volunteer will work approx. 30 hours per week in the youth center, 70% of this time she/he should take care for the young people during the opening time from the youth center. 20% of this 30 hours she/he has to spend for organization and executing of any activities. The rest is time for administration, public relation and other small works.By planning activities the volunteer has to create a budget and time plan, to find out how much activity will be and how much time he will need to transform his project. Then he has to create flyer and posters for advertising this project and he can make public relation in schools, in cafes, pubs and other interesting places for young people. He also can write articles for small newspapers. In the regular opening time of the youth center the volunteer should stay in personal contact with the young people. Most important is to find a personal relationship, so that young people confide him their problems and he is able to speak with them about young people problems like drugs, sexuality, alcohol, school, job and love things.

Criteria
For the recruitment process it is important that the volunteer is interested in young people problems and wishes. It would be better if he/she has ripeness, because some young people sometimes need a helping hand. We are not specified in gender, but the person should be interested especially in sports, music and young culture. These interests are the most important topics in the youth center. But all special interests of the volunteer are welcome because he/she is asked for a small or bigger project on his/her own. Further he should like communication with young people, be outgoing and patient. But otherwise he/she should not be afraid to stay with a group of young people inside or outside the youth center

Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Center is looking for 6 volunteers for an EVS project in Romania (short term) starting on the 1st of February and ending on the 31st of May 2011. The main focus of the project is planning and organizing the National Volunteering Week.
The National Volunteering Week (NVW) is a national event with tradition in Romania, as a consequence 2012 will represent the 11th edition. Our experience so far has shown us that the NVW gets bigger and more important for the community every year. Cluj-Napoca Volunteer Center is the coordinator organization for NVW in Cluj-Napoca and for example in 2009 we had 12 events in Cluj-Napoca (such as Organizations Fair, Cleaning Action, Recycling Workshops, Activities for children, Activities for Elderly, Volunteer Olympics) in 2011 we hat 12 events (such as Organizations Fair, Volunteer Parade, Constructing kennels for dogs, movie nights, etc)
In 2012 our plans are to make a visible and complex NVW, trying to raise the quality and the impact of the events.
Tasks
As part of this EVS project, the volunteers will be responsible with:  creating at least 12 events during this week  creating a strategy for promoting the events  recruiting local volunteers to involve in the events  coordinate the local volunteers  identify appropriate partners for the events  collaborate with local partners including local authorities  communicating with the media  creating the promotional materials  coordinating the activities

WHO: We are looking for motivated volunteers willing to participate in both our daily office activities, as well as our various projects, trainings and workcamps. In addition, we would like the volunteer to be motivated for working on his own project with our support and encouragement, this involves planning the project, applying for funding, organising the project and its evaluation.

WHERE: The project takes place mostly in the office of INEX and various locations in Slovakia. These locations are places where the volunteers will participate in our activities (trainings for leaders of voluntary workcamps, meetings of volunteers, voluntary projects,...)

WHAT:
The main activities are:
• administrative help in the office
• preparation, realization and evaluation of the EVS volunteer‘s own project of a youth exchange through the Youth in Action programme.
• participation in trainings, events, voluntary projects,
• leading of workcamps in Slovakia,
• contact with volunteers,
• promotion of voluntarism, and others

Please take into account that the project also involves with administrative work because of preparation and realization of the voluntary activities.

We in Gimle, Roskilde want to host volunteers because we are sure that we are an interesting place to be a volunteer at and because we think that it would be developing to get a volunteer to a house. We already has contact to young people in Jugoslavia, Croatia, Bosnia, Poland, The Baltic Countries and Scandinavia. So we send people out to seminars, conferences and workshops and also we have all those things here once to three times a year. We could offer an interesting place to be a volunteer because we are only young people and still we work in a very professional way and are highly respected in the milieu around venues and youth centres in Denmark.

Tasks
- Collaborate preparing the afternoon (tea, activities, games). - Collaborate attending the children during their stay in the centre (afternoons). - Collaborate with the management, planning and evaluation of activities. - Participate in the open activities of the city area and city. - Collaborate with the creation of diffusion activities in the city centres for its 25 years of service. - Participate in coordination work with departments and social education team, so they know all our centres. - Participate in the weekend leisure activities in which we participate (Carnival, neighbourhood feasts, folk feasts,...) According to the activities carried out, the City Council will offer training and integration sessions to the team of social educators of the open centres.


Criteria
We are looking for a motivated volunteer, responsible and involved in social issues.

The «3D - Technology Education Sports” 2009-GR-11 project focus on New Technologies and is taking part in Chios Island.
The European volunteers, under the guidance and help of TES’s people, will work together and they will search for new possibilities in the field of New Technologies, Education, Sorts, Entertainment, etc.
They will help the young people in Chios Island to open new horizons.
It is really important for the youngsters who live in a place like Vrontados, to have information about the opportunities they have, to open discussions about this and help them.
The Young Voluntary workers undertake to participate voluntarily in an active citizen and informative experience with the aim of acquiring Technical, Social, Intercultural and personal skills, tools for their own future and at the same contribute to the wellbeing of the community.


Tasks
a) Youth Information (Percentage of time given 15%). The European Volunteers will: Take part in the realization of many projects. Participate in the process of Sports, Cultural and Educational activities and promote the European dimension. After learning Greek they will try to make contacts with local young people and children, to encourage and share with them their own experience to develop the values of Technology Education and Sports and to promote new ways of access to the information like Internet and offer them the way to create projects or the way to get any kind of information. b) Computer programs (Percentage of time given 35%) The main activity of the Volunteers is to take active part in the realisation of Non-profit making Educational, Sports, Tourist and Cultural programs and Presentations. Our aim is to give them the opportunity to come closer to New Technologies, learn and develop creative projects through practical and theoretical exchange of knowledge (cooperative learning) and feel free to express them selves, and receive knowledge that will help them for all their life. c) Computer cooperation (Percentage of time given 20%) Basic activity is to work on the use of Computer software and basic information terminology and realise Cultural, Educational Sport and and Tourist computer software in cooperation with the other EVS volunteers and local youngsters. Those programs will be free for the use from all the youngsters of the world. d) Inspiration (Percentage of time given 15%) Preparation, Realization and Evaluation of Youth programs, Sport Events (sailing) and other youth activities. Texts translation from English or Greek to their mother language, Creation of many web sites, helping at the Sailing team or at the Swimming pool. (Depends of the period and the needs). Through this way, they will also serve as a communication bridge between their and our civilization. After learning Greek, they will have essential contact with the local people aiming at the exchange of ideas that might lead to the realization of a project on Cultural, Educational or Youth issue. The volunteers may also benefit from other activities of the Institute in the field of New Technologies. e) Our Place Percentage of time given 5%. The volunteers will help us keep our Institute and hosting place in order (electronic and other equipment), gardening etc.


Criteria
Positive adaptable and creative people. It will be good if they are very interested to work on the creation of 3D games, Educational software plus Cultural, Educational, Tourist nd Sport Web sites.

The hosting project is in the field of youth policies and culture. EVS main activities are related to the Youth Policies Department and some to the Culture Department and Welfare.
Volunteer will mainly work (80 %) in Santagnese10, a new space for young people, with an information desk and a place where to develop social policies by promoting volunteering, cultural policies supporting youth creativity, training and occupability actions through formal and informal education activities, and start-up of young enterprises At the Culture Department (20%) volunteer can help with the dissemination of information about cultural activities and tourism.

Tasks
- updating of the web site of the Municipality (Welfare and youth policies/Culture departments) and of various projects, including translations and managing of connected social networks (youtube, facebook, twitter and more); - backing the staff of Santagnese10 carrying out the activities linked to the creation of promotional materials, programmes, leaflets, etc. and secretariat tasks; - collaborating with the publication of the newsletter - assisting users investigating about jobs researches, training and volunteering - helping in archiving documentary materials (paper, sound photo and video materials) connected with cultural events organised and participating in the disseminations steps.

Criteria
Volunteers are selected on the basis of a relevant presentation form that allows us getting a more precise idea about the applicants, as well as through a phone call following a first screening. Selection is made according to their interest towards the project, willingness, reliability and motivation shown. Useful elements are considered: - evident concern for the specific project (in particular for promotion of culture and youth policies); - open mindedness and motivation to work in the field of events organization - initiative and autonomy - fair level of Italian, due to the specific characteristics of the activities to be implemented Finally we take into account the professionalism and accessibility shown by the sending organisation when presenting volunteers or on the basis of past collaborations, as well as the support and training they ensure before departure.

Procedure

In the first week of August we will make a preselection of 10 possible candidates whose profile matches with the project requirements. Gondwana has recently been acrreditated as Coordinating Organization within EVS, and will coordinate 10 hosting projects. We now need to recuit three volunteers for a project in Rome "Opera N azionale per “Città dei Ragazzi" that will start hosting EVS volunteers in the next period.

We are happy to announce the opening of the selections for 3 EVS positions in the hosting project 2011-IT-79, in Rome.

“Opera Nazionale per la città dei Ragazzi” is a network of services and projects with a social and welfare character in the city of Rome. It manages projects and social services - residential care in community for disadvantaged children in conditions of severe social problems, psychological and economic. The projects and services aim to consolidate the best levels of social integration, growth and developement of its beneficiaries in a balanced relationship with the land and with context. Under the trading of its services for children, the Opera Nazionale per la città dei Ragazzi, continuously carries out socialisation and recreational activities, laboratories, and educational workshops, designed to pursue the institutional goal of the services themselves, which is the achievement of the highest level of social integration of its beneficiaries.These activities are coordinated and managed by the team and volunteers of the two cities, with three supervisors skilled as required by the existing national and regional legislation for the authorization of the operation services, as well as a 2framework” coordination team, with transversal project design function and high levelsocio psycho pedagogical skills, participate, 19 professional educators, a social worker, a psychologist, a guidance counselor and the coordinator of the educational project. This team has high expertise and volunteer management training and socializing oriented approach to social inclusion of the protagonists.

The socialization activities, educational and recreational for the benefit of the guests will be of various kinds: sport activities, cultural workshops and participation in formal and informal groups will be accompanied by support to the learning path through internships and more. The implementation of socialization activities are in fact directed to the psycho-emotional inclusion of characters and participants.Opera Nazionale per le Città dei Ragazzi offers this type of development projects as it is the first to volunteer to improve the educational capacity following a logic of learning where bilateral activities and roles do not replace people on the spot, but side by side in parallel and continuous support.It is this effective action of subrogation of the social activities that supports but do not replace the combination of educational interventions, the project aims to implement and realize in order to offer volunteers the opportunities for growth involving their ability to exploit their talents. In fact, it requires not only to a passive contribution, but creative actions ideational though development of personal programs in order to involve the active aspects of the person and not just the skills identified in a greater reliability in the field of 'children assistance linked to the design of educational intervention, assistance and animation.Volunteers will participate in some of the activities of the project, offering their assistance to support staff in a coordinated and gradual manner, without replacing services, according to a principle of proportionality between entry competencies, the skills acquired during the year and skills develope

AGH Fransa Başkomiserliğinden Bildirilmektedir... :)

Sain Jean D’Angély / Paris Hattı gönüllüsü Özgür Yıldız;

Merhaba, Fransa’da ikinci ayımı doldurmuş durumdayım. Olan biteni kısaca özetleyecek olursam; Fransızca öğreniyorum, güzel havalardan faydalanıp bol bol geziyorum, buradaki etkinliklerde sürekli yeni insanlarla tanışıyorum. Yani gerçekten çok güzel vakit geçiriyorum!

Geçtiğimiz ay, kaldığım küçük kasaba Saint Jean d’Angély’de geçmişti, Haziran ayının ilk 2 haftasında da merkezimizde uluslararası bir seminer oldu. İspanya ve Almanya’dan gelen yüz kadar lise öğrencisiyle birlikte çeşitli atölyeler düzenledik. Benim de asistan olarak yer aldığım video atölyesinde eğlenceli bir kısa-film yaptık. Şuradan izleyebilirsiniz.

Lise öğrencileriyle çalışmak benim için yeni bir deneyimdi. Açıkçası ilk başta onlarla nasıl iletişim kuracağıma dair ciddi endişelerim oldu. Yaş olarak eğitmenler ile öğrencilerin tam arasında kalmam hangi tarafta duracağıma dair başlangıçta sıkıntı yaratacak gibi görünse de aksine onlar arasında bir köprü olmamı sağladı.
Tabii dil sorunum burada da biraz olsun devam etti. Öğrencilerle anlaşabilmek için genelde İspanyolca ve Almanca çeviri desteği aldık. Hep birlikte yapılan toplantılar ise benim için biraz utanç verici oldu. Fransızca konuşuluyor, İspanyolca ve Almancaya çevriliyor ancak üç dilde konuşulmasına rağmen ben hala çok az şey anlayabiliyorum. Bu durumum aklıma geldikçe Fransızca öğrenme meselesine daha fazla ilgi göstermeye başladım elbette! İngilizce her şey için yeterli olmuyor maalesef.
Bu ayın son haftasını Paris’te arkadaşlarımın yanına giderek değerlendirdim. Ayrıntılara girmeyeceğim ama Paris’i alt-üst ettik desem, yeterli olur sanırım. O kadar ki, Paris’te bir hafta geçirip Eiffel kulesini görmemiş tek insan ben olabilirim! Neyse artık, Paris’e tekrar gitmek için bir bahanem hala mevcut.
